In 2009 homeless deaths in Santa Cruz reached an all time high of 47, compared to 20 in 2008. In light of these statistics, does it not make sense to provide assistance to people where they are most likely to congregate?
If you can, please take an extra interest in the issue of homelessness in Santa Cruz, people are dying at a drastic rate.
Thanks to Homeless United for Friendship and Freedom for the stats.
